Remote Servers
Remote Servers are connections to remote systems and services which can then be accessed by users, Automations, Syncs, and other features of your Files.com site.
Remote Servers can be mounted, allowing real-time access by users, Automations, and other features, or they can used as a source or target for a scheduled Remote Sync.
You can add as many remote servers to your site as you require.
Once connected, the remote server can be used for Remote Mounts and Remote Syncs.
The Browse button of a connected remote server will allow you to browse the accessible files and folders on the remote server.
A remote server's status will become inactive when the server can no longer be connected to, or when its authentication credentials expire. When this happens, Files.com will disable the remote server and report the error in your site alerts, displaying it in the site warnings on the top bar of the Administrator view in the web portal.
Use the Connect button to re-connect and re-authenticate with the remote server.
Use the Edit button to update or change any of the connection information for a remote server.
Saving a remote server's configuration will re-enable the remote server.
The case sensitivity of a remote server may be different from the case sensitivity of Files.com. There may be unexpected effects when moving or copying files and folders between systems with differing case sensitivity.
