Networking & Performance

Files.com is a cloud native platform and all services are provided as SaaS (Software as a Service). What this means is, accessing Files.com from your organization or your partner’s organizations will need to have appropriate connectivity to the Files.com SaaS service.

There a few networking configurations for you to consider and account for when using the Files.com service. This includes connectivity from users’ devices and any systems, firewall configurations and whitelisting rules for your networks for any inbound and outbound traffic, IP Addresses, port numbers, use of custom domains, needs for dedicated IP addresses as well as performance considerations. This section is focused on giving you the information as guidance for these network and performance considerations.

Additionally, your organization may have requirements or restrictions around data storage and data routing needs which should be considered. Please refer to the Regional Storage and Regional Data Routing documentations for these topics.
