The Files.com Automations enhance efficiency by reducing manual intervention, ensure consistency in workflow processes, and easily scale with business needs by automating more processes without adding to the workload.

Automations on Files.com streamline workflow management by automatically executing predefined actions whenever specific triggers occur on your site. Triggers can include scheduled time intervals or events like file uploads, modifications, or inbound webhooks, while actions might involve creating customized folder structures, moving, copying, or deleting files, or even running syncs with third-party services.

Files.com can securely and easily manage critical data transfers both within and outside your organization, supported by various built-in integration capabilities that enhance your existing workflows.

Files.com also integrates with a variety of third-party services such as Amazon S3, Azure Blob storage, Azure Files, Google Cloud Storage, and iPaaS services like Boomi, Zapier, and Mulesoft. These integrations enhance your existing automation workflows by enabling advanced automation capabilities across different platforms.

Site administrators can create or manage Automations. Folder Administrators (users who have Admin permissions on at least one folder) can also create or manage automations specific to those folders.

Automations are different from Folder Settings because Folder Settings are associated with a specific folder, while Automations apply to any matching folders across your entire site.

Automations can operate on one or several different folders. An Automation may have a Path specified, which can be a glob (includes wildcards) that affects multiple folders. Paths in Automations can even refer to folders which don't yet exist.

Automations are never removed when folders are removed, unlike Folder Settings, which are removed when the associated folder is removed.
