External Logs
This log shows events that occurred when interacting with external systems, including Remote Servers, external identity systems (LDAP, SAML), Files.com on-premise Agent, and the Files.com CLI App.
It includes various items, such as logs sent from the Files.com CLI App detailing uploads and downloads, login attempts, login successes, and login failures for users using LDAP or SAML authentication, synchronization events from an external LDAP system to your Files.com account, and remote server synchronization events involving scheduled pushes and pulls of files and folders between Files.com and the remote server.
We retain these logs for 90 days.

Below are the details available in the external logs.
COLUMN | DETAILS |

ID | ID of the event. Each event may include multiple actions. Click on the ID to see more details. |
Event Type | Types of events being recorded include LDAP Login, LDAP Sync, SAML Login, Remote Server Sync, Client Log, Lockout, and Pending Work. The Client Log event type is recorded when the Files.com CLI app uploads a set of log files to the server. The Lockout event is recorded when an account gets locked out due to failed login attempts. The Pending Work event type is recorded when files are being preprocessed, such as GPG encryption or decryption, before they are available on the platform. |
Status | Status of the event such as Success, Failure, Partial_failure, In-progress, or Skipped. |
Remote Sever Sync | Remote Server Sync name. |
Path | Path accessed on the Remote Server. |
Successful files | Count of the successfully transferred files with the corresponding event. |
Errored files | Count of the errored files with the corresponding event. |
Bytes Synced | Bytes Synced with the corresponding Sync event. |
Date | Start time of the event. |
