Outbound Connections
Outbound connection logs help you audit the individual actions performed on your Remote Servers and Files.com on-premise Agents. These action logs include remote server details, actions performed (such as list, upload, download, copy, move, delete) with that remote server, the size of the files transferred if the action is an upload or download, the status of the action, and error details in case of any failures with that particular action.
We currently retain these logs for 30 days, but we are gradually increasing this to 180 days, with the 180-day retention expected to be in place by 2025.
While outbound connection logs display individual actions performed on the remote servers and Files.com on-premise agents, the external logs provide a consolidated view of each log run. If you are looking for the remote server sync logs for each sync run, refer to the external logs.
Below are the details available in the outbound connection logs.
